The second book in the stack 8th Light has given me, Extreme Programming Explained: Embrace Change, wasn't what I was expecting it to be. I'm wondering why PMI did not recommend Kent Beck (who created XP)'s Extreme Programming Explained: Embrace Change (2nd Edition). Kent Beck and his colleagues improved their first version of Extreme Programming, and 6 years later he wrote a 2nd version of his classical book “Extreme Programming Explained: Embrace Change”. Extreme Programmind Explained Extreme Programming Explained: Embrace Change (2nd Edition) (XP Series). Haven't you got something better to do? The first edition is more practical, the second is re-written extensively to show how values fit together with the techniques and practices.
